Fan Coil Unit (FCU)

Fan coil unit (fcu) with heating or cooling coils and a fan for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. It offers the possibility of duct installation to control the temperature in the space, with options for manual on/off switch control or thermostat control.Fan coil units circulate hot or cold water through a coil in order to condition a space. The unit gets its hot or cold water from a central plant, or mechanical room containing equipment for removing heat from the central building's closed-loop. Fan coil units can function using much lower grade hot water (i.E. < 550c flow) than that traditionally employed and are therefore capable providing heating in conjunction with condensing boilers or heat pumps.
